6/21 Ride with Hunter

Rode today and he was really good i tried him in a german martingale again and still he was really good really happy

the other day i rode him to and so did my friend jacqie we both rode Hunter and Bella both were really great!

Ride 6/14

Finally!!!! the rain and mud has stopped enough that i could ride in my arena and my parents finally let me ride Hunter after a week of not being able to...Either my arena is getting smaller or Hunter is getting faster and stronger he was flying but i cant complain he wanted to be naughty but he waited for my signals about when to do things and when not to he was really high headed and high stepping today but i used the techniques my trainer taught me to bring Hunter back to me and focus his energy to his hindquarters, his neck and head for roundness, and his steps so they would extend abit. When we started jumping hes so good he had a perfect distance almost every time except for a few huge leaps but atleast he doesnt chip in anymore. Lately ive been making scarier, bigger, wider jumps for him and hes doing great i almost feel like he wont refuse anything anymore. So now the only thing to really really work on is his flying lead changes and being round which hes really doing great with!!!

Field Ride with Hunter 6/7

I rode Hunny at HHF (the barn i ride at) and he was really good he jumped maybe 2'6" to 2'9" again and basically nailed his lead changes hes really starting to get them hes been starting to go thru a "phase" lately he jumps almost every jump HUGE its pretty good tho i cant complain he barely ever knocks the rails anymore 1 or 2 here and there. Lately the only time he doesnt listen or chips into a jump is when hes tired. Hes sooo good I Love Him!!!

First Fall off of Hunter

Today i rode Hunter and he was really good we jumped maybe about 2'9" give or take a few inches he only knocked down one pole which was nice and he was doing good with lead changes but after a white vertical he galloped to try and get the lead change without my help so he was going around 2 trees and he tripped and fell mid lead change and i tumbled over his head and he caught himself with his back feet and leaped over me but i sat up to fast and his back foot hit me in the head soo happy i had a helmet...after i got up hunter stood there waiting for me and the poor guy looked scarder then me but i hopped back up and we jumped around alittle more(note tht he was being super careful where he placed his feet and he listened perfectly) so we ended on a good note and he walked away uninjured and i just had a headache

Field Ride with Hunter

I rode Hunny today in the field at the barn i got pics of me and him taken by Jacqie for her project cant wait to see them!!! and had videos taken by my mom i was pleased with them too. Hunter was really focused today we jumped fences from the hieght 2' to 2'9" and we practiced flying lead changes he did really well with them. We also tried a chute jump( a jump with to flower boxes on both ends of a jump) he handled it well he thought about refusing cuz he was nervous about it but in the end he sucked it up and trusted me enough to jump it nicely. Really happy with him today:) Hes finally starting to really trust me which is what ive been waiting for for months now.
