Havent posted in a LONGGGG time lol i kinda forgot... but Hunters been great furthering his career as a hunter slowely and surely with a few winter shows coming up later on

Havent been up to much lately but whenever i do find time to ride him hes been a great boy no refusals we jump any thing from small crossrails to bigger oxers so he doesnt get rusty on anything and he is finally really understanding flying lead changes and definitly living up to being a Hunter

ughhh...too much school...

Lately me and Hunter havent been up to much i have too much stupid stuff to do for school!!! its sooo annoying and now that i have a weekend free im sick-_- lol yupp....so im going to try to ride after school sometime this week cuz hes getting restless out there and so is bella woo! who loves having 2 horses, school, homework, riding lessons, and IEA Team every week!! way too much at times i barely ever see friends anymore :( hoping as the school year goes on ill be able to balance everything

MHJ Finals

MHJ Finals-

Hunter did really good the day before no refusals in the childrens eq. division and he missed one lead but we did get champion in a Fieldstone Pleasure division against some really nice horses

The actual MHJ day he was going great getting all the jumps perfectly but then he went to a wider oxer and he gave me signs that he was going to jump it but then at the base he planted his feet and said no and wouldnt jump anything after not even an 18" verticall....so next year ill bring him back and see what we can do

OSHC Horseshow!!!! 8/15

Me and Hunter have been practicing all week for this horseshow and i honestly thought he just wasnt ready i rode him the day before the horseshow and i fell off before a jump cuz he tripped so i was bruised and sore on my left leg so this made my riding abit off to the left...

Today at the show he acted very calm and mature NO REFUSALS!!! :D and these were pretty scary jumps we started with our Rhode Island Mini Medal ? i think thts what its called and he went in a did the job except he knocked a rail cuz i didnt set him up as good as i should have so we ended up 5th of 5. The next class was our Childrens Eq course 1 he went in and was a pro i was soo happy he ended 3rd out of 5. The next was Childrens Eq course 2 and he went in with the same performance and we placed 3rd out of 5 again. The last class was the Childrens Eq Flat and i was the only one who was in itXD so obv. i got first in that but he did everything right so i think he wouldve pinned anyways:)

With the Childrens Eq Course 1 and 2 i wasnt upset about him plaving 3rd cuz its right in the middle and these were NICE horses i was competing with and when i say nice i mean like auto lead changes and auto distancing to jumps which Hunter doesnt have yet so im so proud of him:)

Hunter 8/12 and Lesson 8/10

todays my birthday :) so ive had a busy week with friends wanting to hang out and stuff i went to six flags yesterday and hurt my back on a rollarcoaster...woo! lol ugh it hurts but i still had to ride lol
Hunter- Such a good little guy:) he walked trotted cantered nice and collected and extended he rele listened he jumped all my new jumps without an issue which was nice

MHJ FINALS IS COMING UP SOON!!!!! 0.0 sooo nervous.....ughhh Hunters great and looks good but his lead changes are aweful and idk how to clean them up ive tried poles, small jumps, circles, tight turns, spurs, and other things and nothing works on him it sucks...:( and to make it better apparently hunter has a mental clock in his head and after about 1 to 2 hours he shuts down COMPLETELY on me and wont even move like he got to the point where he went from jumping 3 ft oxers without a worry to refusing groundpoles so hopefully MHJ doesnt take more then 2 hours of jumping or he ll shut down and ill be sooo embarrassed:(

Rehoboth Fair:)

He did really well he got 1st in horsemanship WTC, 2nd in Equitation, 2nd in Sit a Buck, and 3rd in Crossrails
When we first got to the fair i was mad cuz they were only ribboning up to 4th place and to make it even better the ribbons looked like science fair ribbons like legit i was like "What?! there giving us bookmarks this year?!!!" it was aweful and during my Pleasure Class (which we didnt place in) we were boxed in a the canter so Hunter got nervous and tried to rear before he cantered which obv. isnt to "Pleasurable"..... /but everything else went pretty good

My pony turnt into a crazy animal on my friend they only got 4th in Horsemanship During Pleasure they had to stop the class cuz Bella flipped out and tried to throw her im sooo disappointed in Bells....When i went to ride her in the Barrel race( they used jump stands as barrels?!) shes afraid of them it was aweful we got around the first one then she side passes at the gallop all the way to the exit of the arena it was soo embarrassing it was terrible and i had to act like it didnt bother even though i was ready to fall on the ground and cry my eyes out. I really thought she d do good at the fair but she really let me and my friend down big time...:(

I found out today that Hunter was in a few QH Races a long time ago!!! thats really cool to me lol i just cant picture my little pansy of a horse Hunny racing against those big tough QHs:)

Long and Low is the way to go with her shes always good like that i tried Hunters Pelham on her but is was way to strong so i had to switch back to the twisted snaffle then we jumped crossrails well technically we leapfrogged crossrails but thts fine with me loll

7/28 Lesson

:D i dont think hunter could have been any better i was in aw....he got his lead changes, and slowed only refused one jump his first 3ft vertical of the day then he was fine and we did tons of oxers....PERFECTION.....and we did this long distance line ( which he usually speeds up to the 2nd jump) but today he waited for it to come to him it was awesome we thought he d get the line in 6 but he slowed nicely and got it in 9!!!!:D lol

QUESTION: Does anyone have any cool jump ideas?? things tht would like despook him lemme know on here or Facebook and if you know me txt them to me:) thanks!

Hunter is doing great besides the fact that hes getting more stubborn about things hes starting to just not try anymore when we jump im hoping it will pass soon cuz we ve got the Rehoboth Fair, MHJ and other shows so im praying..

Bellas doing great tho lol ofcourse i love how Hunters abit off and Bellas being a superstar i rode her for a good 2 hours while being home alone the other day i tired her out and once she was tired she just went round without a fight and she got over a crossrail With a flower box 0.0 llol thts a big achievement for my little lady. Jacqie still rides her and i think thts the reason for Bellas success lately hope it keeps going:)

7/15 Hunny and Bells

Hunter was awesome we just did lots of flat and groundpoles but he was awesome we had a lesson a few days before and he was OK he had sum issues with this one oxer and he thru my trainer on the ground twice before we finished hes picking up a new habit of dirty stopping if he gets under confident or comes to the jump and the distance isnt right he refuses trying to fix it tho

Bella was ridden today by Jacqie and they cantered ground poles and it went really really well hoping they both keep up the good work together:)

7/11 ride bella & hunter

first we'll start out with bella,
today bella was VERY stubborn. She went over the ground polls perfectly @ the walk and trot. we didnt even attempt them @ the canter because she was a bucking bronco (at the canter). We were going to trot and canter down the drive way (as a punishment) but when hunter was to far ahead she took off at a full gallop, and because she has a hard mouth there were no brakes.

atfirst hunter seemed to be in a good mood but he again proved me wrong, by having a bigggggg temper tantrom, and he has such a powerful neck, once he begins bucking/ rearing there isnt much i can d0 to stop it.

Hunter the..Hunter/Jumper/...?Who Knows?

Haven't posted in awhile alot going on but i felt July 1st would be a good day to post

Hunters been doing good i ride him in a german martingale at home really helps give him the idea of "OHH!!! im supposed to be round!!" Lately hes been acting different though the normal lazy easy going hunter seems to not be there and now hes really pumped about everything and wants to get everything right or he flips out cant say its bad tho its kinda cute<3 lately ive been thinking about maybe trying him in jumpers or something that involves more speed cuz thats what he seems to want to do

any ideas for different disciplines?

6/21 Ride with Hunter

Rode today and he was really good i tried him in a german martingale again and still he was really good really happy

the other day i rode him to and so did my friend jacqie we both rode Hunter and Bella both were really great!

Ride 6/14

Finally!!!! the rain and mud has stopped enough that i could ride in my arena and my parents finally let me ride Hunter after a week of not being able to...Either my arena is getting smaller or Hunter is getting faster and stronger he was flying but i cant complain he wanted to be naughty but he waited for my signals about when to do things and when not to he was really high headed and high stepping today but i used the techniques my trainer taught me to bring Hunter back to me and focus his energy to his hindquarters, his neck and head for roundness, and his steps so they would extend abit. When we started jumping hes so good he had a perfect distance almost every time except for a few huge leaps but atleast he doesnt chip in anymore. Lately ive been making scarier, bigger, wider jumps for him and hes doing great i almost feel like he wont refuse anything anymore. So now the only thing to really really work on is his flying lead changes and being round which hes really doing great with!!!

Field Ride with Hunter 6/7

I rode Hunny at HHF (the barn i ride at) and he was really good he jumped maybe 2'6" to 2'9" again and basically nailed his lead changes hes really starting to get them hes been starting to go thru a "phase" lately he jumps almost every jump HUGE its pretty good tho i cant complain he barely ever knocks the rails anymore 1 or 2 here and there. Lately the only time he doesnt listen or chips into a jump is when hes tired. Hes sooo good I Love Him!!!

First Fall off of Hunter

Today i rode Hunter and he was really good we jumped maybe about 2'9" give or take a few inches he only knocked down one pole which was nice and he was doing good with lead changes but after a white vertical he galloped to try and get the lead change without my help so he was going around 2 trees and he tripped and fell mid lead change and i tumbled over his head and he caught himself with his back feet and leaped over me but i sat up to fast and his back foot hit me in the head soo happy i had a helmet...after i got up hunter stood there waiting for me and the poor guy looked scarder then me but i hopped back up and we jumped around alittle more(note tht he was being super careful where he placed his feet and he listened perfectly) so we ended on a good note and he walked away uninjured and i just had a headache

Field Ride with Hunter

I rode Hunny today in the field at the barn i got pics of me and him taken by Jacqie for her project cant wait to see them!!! and had videos taken by my mom i was pleased with them too. Hunter was really focused today we jumped fences from the hieght 2' to 2'9" and we practiced flying lead changes he did really well with them. We also tried a chute jump( a jump with to flower boxes on both ends of a jump) he handled it well he thought about refusing cuz he was nervous about it but in the end he sucked it up and trusted me enough to jump it nicely. Really happy with him today:) Hes finally starting to really trust me which is what ive been waiting for for months now.

Hunter and the One Stride Line

i rode Hunter today his ground work was perfect!!! but his jumping was abit off...we practiced jumping thru a one stride line the first jump was 2ft vertical with flower boxes and the second one was a 2'6" vertical with a saddle pad over the top we was lazy over the first one then the second one he FLEW over it was cute but annoying at the same time

Lesson 5/26 with Jacqie and Freedom!!!

Today i rode Hunter for my lesson he was really good but he felt like acting like a rocket lol for whatever reason he d go slow to the jump then take of either wikid early and high, wikid late and low, or perfect=) then after he d try to gallop off into the sunset it was a good time=P we rode with Jacqie and Freedom and they were galloping around and he was being soooo good and they jumped good as well=) vids of me and Hunny and Jacqie and Freedom tomorrow=)!!!

HHF Horseshow dayyy

Me and Hunny did a show today at our barn and at first i thought he was going to suck cuz he pretended he didnt know how to canter it was soo stupid he suddenly forgot his leads even tho he was doing lead changes the day before...but he came thru for me and won 1st out of 5 in the 2ft hunter classic i think he would of been second if my friends horse didnt act up but i was still happy and we got to do a victory gallop and i think it was just about the happiest moment ever for me then after we got a 1st,1st,and 2nd out of 2 in the 2'6" division he kept knocking a rail tho he was like dead and didnt want to jump uphill lol and last we got 2 out of 2 in the MHJ Childrens Eq....which i rele dont mind he was tired and there will be other shows=)

Lesson 5/19

Hunter did sooo good today he got almost every lead change and jumped every jump without refusing he chipped in and knocked a few poles but otherwise he did just fine his flatwork was very impressive today which was a change we did ALOT of painful no stirrup work but its all work it in the longrun but what concerned me is that when we first started riding Hunter was sooo incredibly stiff like he could barely walk/trot and it seemed to really affect him in a bad way it took me 20 mins to fully stretch him out so unsure about what to do about that...

Training Ride for Hunny

My trainer rode Hunter today and he was being really slow and dull and wasnt jumping great and tried to refuse alot of jumps and so she got off and i hopped on he was soo much more enthusiastic for me he was doing lead changes,galloping around,and was jumping the jumps really big and nice and he basically auto pilot for me=) its nice to know that he loves me and will try hard with me i love him i hope hes like this for my lesson and the show this weekend!!!

terrible ride with hunter he couldnt get over a 2'3" vertical without knocking it then i put it down to crossrail and he still knocked it diappointing...hopefully it will be better tomorrow

i rode Hunters friend Bella today and she was so good for our ride and as soon as i let her out of the arena she tried to take off with me-_- silly pony...im letting my friend ride her next weekend so i hope shes not a total beast for her

Hunter was soooo good=) he was jumping all these scary ish jumps and didnt really refuse i was a proud mom=)then to make me even more happy he got his lead wrong and almost everytime he did an auto lead change without me asking at all he was sooo good i couldnt of asked anymore of him

Monday Lesson Time

Me and Hunter had our lesson yesterday and rode with Jacqie and Freedom. Hunter worked soo hard and we did cavileties to a jump it was hard on his little QH mind but he tried so hard for me. Then we did in hand jumping with Freedom and Jacqie Freedom actually jumped it unlike Hunter who just trotted over it lol oh well Hunter will be Hunter then we went for a ride in the field and we raced another girl and her pony ive never seen hunter so excited and fast it was lots of fun

Horse Show!!!!!!

Had a Hobby Horse Farm Show(HHF) today the first class Hunter tripped over a jump so i had to circle into a jumpstand so he wouldnt fall on his face0.o we deff. didnt place in tht lol but in our Child/Adult Hunters 2'6" division we got champion im soo proud of my boy Hunny!!! and in the MHJ Mini medal we got 3rd and the MHJ Childrens Equitation we won 1st!!!! sooooo were qualified for MHJ!!!!!!!!!!

i have to pull hunters beastly mane for the 4H show he hates mane pulling0.o

Hunter was sooo good yesterday!!! he was actually collected *gasp* and didnt hit any rails over the jumps and he did a lead change for me whudda good boy i love him=]

Yet Another Horse Show

4-H show coming up soon=] me and hunter kinda failed at Cape Cod Hunter Show but we did place 8th=] but im hoping for better at the 4-H Show this weekend. i finally get to show both of my horses hunter in the jumping and bella on the flat
