Hunter is a 10 year old Chestnut Quarter Horse gelding who stands at 15.2 hands high. For the first 7 to 10 years of his life he spent his time in the Western World of barrel racing, pole bending, trail riding but was also a AQHA racehorse in his younger years he won 1 or 2 races but then became western. He later was sold due to his owner becoming very sick, he was sold to a farm in Acushnet, MA. Me and my family were looking at saddles and other equipment when we decided to take a look at the horses. I rode 4 horses but none of them were that great then we found Hunter. His old name was "The Kernal" and he was all alone in the back of all the other paddocks. When i first rode him he was very nervous, had a severe speeding problem, and didn't know any of his leads. He wasn't exactly what we wanted because we were looking for a horse suitable to be a Hunter Jumper but we decided to give him a chance.
Now after only 6 monthes of owning him he is alot slower, he knows his leads, and loves to jump. He is a very dedicated jumper who trys hard to please. Since hes still green he has some problems with his confidence and hes still figuring out how to get over the bigger jumps. This year i hope to do MHJ finals with him just for the experience :)
